  18. I have experience with both modems (USR Sportster, the older model
  19. without the flash ROM, and SupraExpress PnP internal).

  21. I have these modems installed on my computers at home. I have very
  22. good experience with both and would say that am satisfied with both.
  23. Each has their own pluses and minuses. I get solid connects with the
  24. Sportster, and have never experienced a line drop-out. The
  25. SupraExpress also get very good connect speeds, but seems to be less
  26. tolerant of noisy lines. There have been cases (specific BBSes) where
  27. the carrier dropped leaving me hanging up in the middle of a session.
  28. A big plus that I noticed with my Supra is that I seem to get faster
  29. average transfer rates. I get 3000+ cps very easily with the Supra,
  30. while my Sportster usually hovers at around 2900+ cps only, while
  31. transferring files from a favorite BBS.
